This tour is ideal for those who would love to cycle around Dumfries and Galloway and discover a hidden gem part of Scotland.We will class it as a healthy tour,you will be able to breathe the country and seacoast fresh air and view the beautifull scenery,discover historical castles,abbey ruins,museums,and traditional local town villages where you will be stopping to taste Scottish products,and relax and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee/ or beer.You will also visit Nith Valley where the pedal cycle was invented in 1840 by Kirpatrick MacMillan.

Day 1

We will value your arrival at any airport in Scotland (Edinburgh,Glasgow,Glasgow Prestwick) or from a train station.

Your personal driver will met and greet you and then proceed towards your quality and luxury B&B accomodation near Dumfries and Galloway,aprox 2 hours from Edinburgh,one and a half from Glasgow ,where your hosts will make you feel at home.Depending on time of arrival your personal guide will be happy to begin a small tour and discouver the local area on your bikes.

Day 2

After your rich traditional Scottish breakfast or continental your personal guide will have your bikes ready to cycle aprox 47km,you will cycle through the solway coast,Dalbeattie and the River Urr estuary.

Day 3

You will depart from your accomodation taking the scenery tour towards the town of Thornhill aprox 48km your accomodation will be there for 2 nights.

Day 4

A cycle to visit www.drumlanrig.com aprox 6 km from your accomodation,a day to relax you can cycle from 6 to 48 km.

Day 5

Departure on your bikes towards the town of arrival passing through the picturesque village of Moniaive to visit the Green Tea House A detour to a nearby glen visits the Striding Arches built, by world famous landscape sculptor Andy Goldsworthy. Cycle along the Urr Valley back to Castle Douglas to enjoy a beer in the local brewery,overnight accomodation.

Day 6/7

Departure to the beautifull Capitol of Edinburgh where you will stay in a hotel in the town centre for 2 nights and be free to visit the Castle,Hollyrood Palace,the gardens,St Giles Cathedral,the Royal Mile,and be able to shop and buy Scottish products.We can arrange for you to visit Rosslyn Chapel.

Departure to your destiny

Itinery

Day 1

Will depend on arrival time or pick up location,your first night accomodation will be in Edinburgh in a 4 star hotel centre of Edinburgh.You will be free to discouver this wealthy and Historical Capitol.


Day 2/3

Early breakfast as we will depart to Inverness passing through Perth,Pittlochry where we will stop to have lunch.Pittlochry is full of Scottish traditional charm,for who likes walking there is a lovely walking trail which will take you through woods and country.We will then procede through Aviemore where your Scottish Castle will be your accomodation for 2 nights.The Castle is full of history and if we are lucky your welcome drink will be served by the ghosts of the Castle.During your stay your personal driver will take you for a scenery tour of the local area and will include a visit to Lochness where you can say hello to Nessie.

Day 4

Early breakfast as we will depart towards the area of your departure,passing through Fort Augustus,Fort William and a scenery tour of Loch Lomond.Your overnight accomodation will be near your departure, in a Hotel **** or Castle.
